The HRAR program provided public health messaging and supported COVID safety amongst Darebin residents in high-risk accommodation. During the project, the team engaged with 44 rooming houses and 572 low rise public housing units, supporting several thousand residents to access COVID safe healthcare, emergency food relief, delivering urgent medication, rapid antigen tests, and supporting access to safer accommodation for people experiencing family violence.

Former HRAR Team Coordinator, Annie Grant is proud of the relationships the team
built with residents.

“The HRAR team put residents first, listening, reassuring and connecting people with the health and wellbeing services they needed. HRAR showed the power of community-led
care in restoring dignity and wellbeing.”
