Community health plays a critical role in our health system by supporting Victorians to access primary health services locally, leading to improved health outcomes and reduced hospital admissions. I’ve joined the Community Health First campaign because Community Health Services have demonstrated the capacity to bridge the gap between GPs and the hospital sector by providing flexible and targeted services, meeting the needs of the most vulnerable people within each community, as evident through Victoria's COVID response, where we were able to play a vital role in relieving pressure on our health systems, especially emergency departments.

Our services and the compassionate and skilled staff who deliver them are committed to assisting members of our community in leading happier, healthier lives. We stand ready to provide further initiatives to contribute to a sustainable, integrated, and effective health system.
