For over 50 years, community health has provided person-centred, evidence-based care across Victoria, playing a unique role in the health and social service systems to support people at every age and stage of life.

Local, place-based care, bringing low or no cost services together under one roof. GPs, dental, mental health, chronic disease management, alcohol and other drug support, allied health and family services. Available in cities, outer suburbs, rural and regional areas, right across the state.

Community health: affordable care in every community
Good health is the foundation of a good life. It’s what lets Victorians work, care for the people they love, and stay connected and active in their communities.
But right now, families across Victoria are weighing up rent, groceries and power bills against a physio appointment, a mental health session, or a check-up they know they need. Every Victorian should be able to access care and support close to home, whatever their income, but as the cost of living rises, too many are going without.
